The Vision of
IDT
is to provide nurturing environment to the students to facilitate
their learning of creative skills and talents. The institute provides comprehensive
infrastructure and equipments to impart both theoretical and practical training.
Since IDT is in the early stages of inception, the institute’s Resource Centre is
constantly at work to provide necessary information and infrastructure to collate
and disseminate the critical inputs, in form of audio-visual material, design related
documentations, subscribing to monthly magazines, periodicals, journals etc.
The computer labs are well equipped with latest software and hardware that enables
IT-enabled learning environment. IT lad consists of Computers, Image Scanner, Printers,
Digital Cameras, and Projectors etc. Wi-Fi enabled campus provides secured network
access to both the student and the faculty. IDT also imparts teaching inputs on industry
based CAD software’s for Apparel, Textile and Interior design.
Our Pattern making and Construction lab is well equipped with all the industrial
sewing-machines, specialized drafting tables, and cutting tables along with the
Dress-forms that allows the students to rigorously apply and contextualize concepts
and processes of realizing garments.
IDT also has Design studio allowing the students to showcase their work, the design
studio provides stimulating workspace to acquire holistic understanding of integrated
working and opportunity to practically explore, develop design possibilities and
understands machinery and material.Also, Studentsdoubly benefit as per the designed
curriculum and the batch timings that are convenient so as to accommodateregular
college studies with Professional course that we offer at IDT . Not to mention the
Distance Education Courses offered from our stable allowing maximum flexibility
for the students to continue their professional as well as personal pursuits.
Apart from the above mentioned entire institute is centrally air-conditioned, andalso
provide peer and industry interaction through presentations, displays, visits to
industry/fashion weeks/ trade fairs/exhibition/workshops. Institute also has tie
up with the leading textile firms for job placements. Annual fashion Show of the
institute serves as a launch pad for the students for showcasing their talents,
creative skills and pursuits.
